Clothing Connections for Your Shape

To quote:
Sheyne Fleischer’s article “Looking Your Best” (found in the 4th English volume of the Gothic and Lolita Bible): “Just because an item fits doesn’t mean it flatters you, though. Don’t try to force yourself and your body into a style of dress that simply doesn’t suit you at all! Use common sense and a critical eye when trying on items.”

Hello once again, in this blog we will be looking at the different type of clothing for your body shape. I do hope you are excited as I am, because after this I do hope getting dresses is much easier when you know what styles suits your body shape.

What Type of BLOUSE Suits Your Body Shape?

Petite Body Shape: You can wear tops that at the hip line or above. Longer tops will make you look shorter than you actually are. To give you an elongated look wear v-line tops. Try to stay away from too extra fabric such as in waterfall cardigans or jackets, these will overwhelm you. Formfitting clothes are what you wear best.

Column:  You can  wear a blouse that is fitted, but does not  fully cling to your body. keep your blouse untucked  from you shirt or pant. Peplum style tops add some definition to your waistline, this will flatter your body. you can wear any neckline that is suited to the blouse. if you want to tuck in your blouse ensure your neckline is a bit lower that usual.

Full Hourglass Shape:  Very soft, flowing fabrics like chiffon are very flattering for your body type but it should be nicely fitted and not baggy. Wear your blouses with V necks or scooped necklines, wrap around tops are also great for emphasizing your waist. You can try them sitting at your waist,  halter styled tops you rock effectively. To get a slimmer look dark colors work well but you also look good in most colors. Simple well cut jackets long or short and fitted pinched at the waist line is your best bet.
